Starter box problems ???

I have just bought a nearly new Fastrax starter box with the duel motors in.
The batteries are two Ansmann 2700Amh. I gave each battery a full charge with my Delta Base Pro Peak charger @2.5A.
My problem is that when i try start my Trophy 4.6 there is just not enough power, the engine might turn once if Im lucky.
Now I just do not know where my fault lies, are my batteries worn out, faulty charger or is my engine to tight ?????

I doubt if its my engine as I just took off my pull start which broke, for the fifth time and it was running and starting good.

Any thoughts guys, as I am confused !!!
Thx

I got the same problem, might be worth buying a 12v battery to power it, I am in the same boat as you but i only got one motor, but its a strong one.

I will try and find one on ebay for you

Good one.

I just had a look at the battery you gave the link for and its looks good. My box is big enough to store it.
As the current starter boxes are only 7.2 v will the 12v battery not be to strong for them and will my current chargers be enough to charge that gel battery?

Thanks for your help.
Darryl

Hi Darryl,

the problem is more than likely the huge amount of compression of the engine.I would suggest loosening the glow plug for starting, once it`s running take the glow starter off and nip the plug up,it will get easyer to start the more you run it.Please try this method and see if it helps.Let us know how you get on.

cheers,
T.
